Chris Kysor - 'Texoma Gothic' Show Opening!
Chris Kysor is most widely known for his iconic painting "American Water" featured as the cover art for the Silver Jews 1998 album by the same name. Kysor creates contemporary landscape paintings that lean toward the abstract. He refers to his work as "Super Graphic Color Field Painting"- referencing the hard edge and color field painters of the 1950's-70's. Kysor has shown throughout the US, including solo and group shows in New York, Boston, LA, Houston, and Dallas.
Now he brings a crepuscular new vision to Taylor, Texas. He calls it...

About Face: Group Art Exhibition
About Face:
A Group Exhibition at Every Time Institute
What is the connection between the self we present to the world and the person we feel we truly are? Is there any such thing as a “true” self? How does our outward presentation reveal or obfuscate this conception? What does our appearance communicate about the culture we live in? In short: what, if anything, can we learn from looking at a person’s face?
‘About Face’ is a group exhibition opening June 5th at Every Time Institute featuring works from:
Rosalie Anderson
Betsy Kay Askew
Shawn Crawford
Lee Dockery
Allison Eve
Nicolas Nadeau
Sari Shryack
Cynthia Young
